The Dortmund star was unable to come back out for the second half after aggravating his old injury, and was replaced by Neven Subotic. His absence from the side was certainly noticeable, with Jurgen Klopp’s side seeing their 1-0 lead wiped out by two second half goals from the Bundesliga leaders.
An official update on the German defenders status hasn’t been released yet, but a the club’s official Twitter account did retweet German football fanatic Alex Chaffer’s tweet claiming that Hummels would miss at least three weeks.

With Dortmund already struggling terribly in the domestic league this season losing Hummels will be a huge blow, and depending on how reliable the three week evaluation is he may also miss his side’s remaining Champions League group stage fixtures; including a vital clash with Premier League side Arsenal.
