Louis van Gaal unsure if Radamel Falcao’s Manchester United move should be made permanent

Van Gaal and the hierarchy at Old Trafford are yet to be convinced that the Colombia international has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League.

According to the Sun the Red Devils have the option to sign Falcao permanently for £46m, but with just five appearances and one goal to his name so far they are not yet willing to complete that deal.

The 28-year-old is currently on-loan from AS Monaco in a move that cost £6m as a loan fee and a further £14m in wages.

United considering cancelling Anderson’s contract

Despite the fact it will cost the club £1.4m the Brazilian could be axed from the squad in the New Year having failed to attract interest from other clubs, reports the Telegraph.

Anderson has fallen out of favour at the Theatre of Dreams and has made just two appearances this season under van Gaal – including the 4-0 Capital One Cup humiliation at the hands of MK Dons.

The 26-year-old joined the 13-time Premier League champions in 2007 from FC Porto in a transfer that eventually cost a whopping £26m, yet has failed to live up to expectations since then.

A January move for Aston Villa captain Ron Vlaar being lined up

Interest in the Netherlands international has risen once again as van Gaal looks for defensive recruitment to try and help solve his current woes.

According to the Mirror with Vlaar in the final year of his current contract at Villa Park the centre-back could be available for a cut-price fee in the New Year.

The 29-year-old is also likely to be tempted by a reunion with van Gaal having worked with the 63-year-old for two years with the Dutch national team.

Red Devils ready to activate £23.5m release clause if Benfica’s Enzo Perez

The Argentina international has been identified by Man United as the ideal addition to come in and bolster their central midfield.

Portuguese daily A Bola reports that the English side are prepared to activate Perez’s release clause and beat Valencia to the South American’s signature.

The 28-year-old is being lined up as an alternative to Juventus ace Arturo Vidal and Kevin Strootman of AS Roma.

Javier Hernandez wants to make loan move to Real Madrid permanent

The Mexico international completed his temporary switch to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu after being deemed surplus to requirements by van Gaal.

Hernandez has since impressed for Los Blancos, scoring four goals in eight appearances and is keen to make his move to Madrid a permanent one.

“I dreamed of being here. I have the talent and I’ll work hard to show I belong at such a great institution. I hope some positive things happen, both to the club and myself,” the 26-year-old told ESPN.
