The 21 year old has started the season brightly, netting seven Premier League goals in 10 appearances, and earned a call-up to the senior England set-up as a result of his efforts but boss Alan Irvine may struggle to keep the Baggies star in the long term.

On the subject of a possible West Brom exit to help his career progression Berahino stated;

“If that’s what it comes to, yeah, it will have to be that,”

“But obviously I appreciate what West Brom have done for me and I am working each day to win the club as many games as can. Right now I am focused on West Brom.”

Man United are known to be keen on the young forward and one imagines that an official bid from the Old Trafford side would be hard to turn down, not least as it would turn Berahino’s head, though West Brom would look to secure a big sum for the academy graduate.
