Old Trafford side look to bring in PSV Eindhoven youngster.
Man United are reportedly closing in on PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay according to the Daily Express.
The Eredivisie side are willing to sell the 20 year old if their £18m price-tag is met and Louis van Gaal is looking to bring his former national team charge to Old Trafford with PSV boss Phillip Cocu admitting an exit is likely stating;
“Of course Memphis will be sold, you can’t stop that but it’s okay.
“It’s great you can build up a player like him, who breaks through, succeeds at PSV then leaves the club when he’s ready for a bigger step. That’s great.”
Man United have a fair few wide-attacking options though the likes of Nani, Ashley Young, Luis Antonio Valencia and attacking midfielder Juan Mata are all seemingly not nailed on first teamers under van Gaal and therefore room could be made for Depay to join the Premier League side.
Depay is already into his fourth season at the Philips Stadion and has racked up 12 goals in 14 appearances this term and may well be ready for the inevitable move away from the Dutch top tier.
