The Red Devils had a tough start to the season, but have won their last four matches. They have included matches against Arsenal and Stoke City. This has led to the side storming up the table and in to the top four.

They are currently 11 points behind league leaders Chelsea, but the 25-year-old has claimed that his team can continue their unbeaten run to compete at the top. They have tough games at home to Southampton and away at Anfield against Liverpool in the next two weeks.

Speaking after their 2-1 win over Stoke, the centre-back was quoted by Goal; “It’s a happy place at the minute. After the Arsenal game,  the next target was six points out of these two games and we’ve done that.

“Now we’ll work hard for the rest of the week because we’ve got two big games next week that could put us up there with the boys around us.”

If the Old Trafford club want to compete with Chelsea they will have to hope that the Blues slip up multiple times. Even the closest side to them Manchester City are six points behind.
