Veteran full-back tipped to make surprise move back to Old Trafford.
Former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra is being linked with an astonishing return to the club in January, according to the Daily Star.
The 33-year-old left the club this summer after eight years at Old Trafford to join Serie A champions Juventus, but he has made limited impact in Italy, making just eight appearances for his new side so far.
And according to reports, his lack of football with Juve has prompted United boss Louis van Gaal to make an enquiry over his availability due current defensive crisis the Red Devils are face.
It is believed that Evra is taking Van Gaal’s offer under serious consideration as he is unhappy with his lack of involvement across all competitions for his new side.
This is of course the second time a recently departed United star has been linked with a swift return to Old Trafford, as Evra’s former defensive partner Nemanja Vidic has also been watched by Van Gaal as he struggles to adapt himself at Inter Milan.
