Former Barcelona man finally set to make Old Trafford switch.
Man United are very close to finally completing the signing of free agent keeper Victor Valdes according to the Daily Star.
The 32 year old has recently been training with the Old Trafford side in order to prove his fitness after a lengthy period out injured and the former Barcelona man’s agent Gines Carvajal is set to meet Man United officials to complete the deal despite apparent interest from PSG.
Louis van Gaal would no doubt see Valdes as a preferable back-up option to Anders Lindegaard and would provide first-choice starter David de Gea a real challenge for a spot in Man United’s starting eleven.
Valdes left the Nou Camp over the summer bringing an end to 12 seasons in the Barcelona set-up, during which time he racked up 535 appearances and picked up a host of honours including six La Liga titles and three Champions League winners medals.
