Louis van Gaal will be hoping the former Red Devil is proven right about the Old Trafford star…
Manchester United legend Denis Law has backed Radamel Falcao to be a success at Old Trafford, reports Goal.com.
The Colombian has struggled to show his best form since arriving at the Mancunian side on loan in the summer. He has only managed four goals in 18 appearances so far, making it less and less likely that manager Louis van Gaal will look to extend his stay beyond the end of the campaign.
Despite this, Law still thinks he will be a success with the side. The 29-year-old will likely get a chance to get his confidence back against Preston North End in the FA Cup on Monday night. And with Arsenal and Liverpool arguably their only threats in the competition, there is a real chance that the Red Devils could win the trophy.
Law said, “While Radamel Falcao maybe hasn’t scored as many goals as he would have liked so far, there’s no questioning his pedigree and his ability. He has been absolutely excellent throughout his career and everyone was looking forward to seeing him play when his arrival was announced.”
He added, “He’s a goalscorer, a good player who gets involved and, again, he’s needed time to settle in, especially coming back from such a bad injury. But once he starts scoring regularly then you’ll see an even better player.”
