According to local newspaper ‘El Informador’, Chivas followers attacked the vehicle with stones and also damaged three other cars that were passing by. The incident occurred on Avenida Las Torres, close to Chivas Stadium.

The attacked fans have been praised for not responding to the aggression and thus averting a bigger problem.

Images show that there were three police officers at the scene, but they bizarrely decided not to interfere and limit themselves to simply watching the incident from afar. The drivers of the damaged cars also did not take further action either, presumably because they were intimated by the large number of angry Chivas fans.

This is not the first time that the fans of Guadalajara have been involved in violence; last year several groups of hardcore fans were banned from the stadium after a huge fight with supporters of Atlas – Chivas’ local rivals.
