The box to box performer can operate in a central or defensive midfield role but as evidence by his overhead kick goal against Real, see below, the Spanish Under 21 international has plenty to offer in the final third also.
Niguez has recently been signed up by big time agent Jorge Mendes, who has long been linked with big Old Trafford deals, and has a very affordable £17.4m release clause written into his Atletico Madrid contract.
The youngster was released by Real Madrid at the age of 14 but has certainly not let that set-back affect his progress in the game and Atletico boss Diego Simeone will be loathed to lose such a talent.
