Tottenham are also after the Everton regular…
Manchester United, Arsenal, and Tottenham are all fighting over the potential signing of Everton midfielder James McCarthy, reports the Daily Star.
The Toffees have been disappointing this season, and currently sit 14th in the Premier League and just six points off the relegation zone. With this in mind the teams challenging for the Champions League think that they will have a chance of luring the Irishman away from Goodison Park.
Adding a little more to the mix is the fact that a promised improved contract for the 24-year-old has not materialised. Roberto Martinez apparently claimed the midfielder would get a new deal to match his great performances for the Blues in the summer.
However, it is unlikely that Everton will let him go cheaply if indeed they even sell him at all. McCarthy’s current contract runs until 2018, and thy only signed him for £13 million at the beginning of last season.
