Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier has indicated that Franck Tabanou could be in line for a comeback from injury against Metz in Ligue 1 this weekend.
ASSE will travel to the North-East confident of victory, having overcome Lorient 2-0 at home last weekend. Metz are the division’s whipping boys are are desperately clinging to the final hopes of safety despite finding themselves bottom of the table on 22 points, cut adrift from safety.
More bad news for Metz comes in the form of a likely return for left-winger Tabanou.
Speaking to the press on Thursday, as reported by France Football, Galtier indicated that the Frenchman, who has been out of action since February 28 after suffering a gluteal muscle injury, could be in contention for a place.
“[He] could be in the group this weekend,” said Galtier, speaking to the press.
He also gave a positive prognosis for injured pair Paul Baysse and Ismael Diomande suggesting that the Saint-Etienne staff “could reintegrate them into the collection sessions next week.”
