1) Luis Suarez bit someone AGAIN

Not a great sign for either player if Suarez has more bites than Iniesta has goals or assists in the last year…

2) Arsenal won a trophy

Arsenal actually won a trophy, and then won another one if you count the Community Shield. Really time to up your game, Andres.

3) Real Madrid won five trophies

It hasn’t been the best year for Barcelona in general, with Real Madrid winning five trophies since Iniesta last notched a goal or an assist.

4) Chelsea knocked out of the Champions League – twice

With last season’s defeat to Atletico Madrid and this season’s surprise loss to PSG, Chelsea have been knocked out of the Champions League twice since Iniesta’s last goal contribution.

5) Chelsea in yet another race row

First John Terry, now this. Chelsea have inevitably been involved in another race row in the last year after their fans abbused Souleymane S on a Paris Metro train.

6) Man United have had three managers

Manchester United are going through the managers quicker than Iniesta can do anything on the pitch, with David Moyes, Ryan Giggs and Louis van Gaal all taking charge of the side in the last 365 days.

7) Harry Kane has scored 33 goals

Having previously only scored one goal in his Tottenham career, Harry Kane now has 33 – Iniesta has some catching up to do with this previously unknown forward.

8) Nicklas Bendtner scored a hat-trick

Getting ridiculous now. Even Nicklas Bendtner has scored goals in the last year, with the Dane even managing a hat-trick for his country this week.

9) He’s earned £3.6m

The goals and assists have dried up, but the money hasn’t. Iniesta has made £3.6m in the last year for simply passing the ball sideways!

10) The Earth has traveled 93 million miles

That’s a lot of miles – how much further through the universe do we have to go before Iniesta gets on the scoresheet or sets up a goal again?
