Chelsea captain John Terry has established himself as a Stamford Bridge legend, leading the side through one of their most successful spells in history.
However, he has incredibly revealed that, as a trainee, he used to warm the toilet seat for more senior squad members, reports The Sun.
The 34-year-old – who has been at club since 1995 – says that he was willing to do the somewhat unpleasant jobs for the likes of Dennis Wise and Jody Morris, presumably because he idolised them.
“I’d do anything for them — make their tea and coffees,” he explained.
“Even silly things like sit on the toilet to make the seat warm for them in the cold winter days at the training ground,” the former England skipper said.
Terry admits that the job may sound odd, but suggests that it was just one of the things that had to be done.
“It’s bizarre when you think about it but that was part of growing up.”
