According to Calciomercato [via Le10Sport], Nuno has identified the Argentine forward as a key target this summer.

The six-time Spanish champions are keen to bolster their attacking options and are prepared to throw everything at recruiting the PSG hitman.

Under the management of new owner Peter Lim, Valencia have greater resources than in the past and are in a position to offer Lavezzi the kind of contract that might tempt him away from the Parc des Princes.

Paris recently slashed Lavezzi’s asking price to 10 million Euros, news that may come as some encouragement to Valencia.

The 29-year-old has featured 24 times in Ligue 1 so far this season, scoring four goals. Before moving to Paris, he featured for the likes of Genoa and San Lorenzo, and distinguished himself over five years at Napoli.
