Manchester United have reportedly agreed a deal for young Chilean forward Angelo Henriquez to leave the club on a permanent basis this summer, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Red Devils youngster spent last season on loan with Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia, and impressed greatly with a fine return of 20 goals in 25 appearances for the club.

However, Henriquez never managed to make a breakthrough in the United first-team, and seems set to become the latest player cleared out by manager Louis van Gaal, who also let a number of big names go last summer, such as Danny Welbeck, Shinji Kagawa and Tom Cleverley.

Henriquez never stood much chance of playing regularly for the Reds due to the presence of so many big names up front, but the MEN now says a deal is in place for him to join a new club and to continue his development elsewhere, in what looks like a good move for both teams.

During his time at Old Trafford, Henriquez has also spent time on loan at Wigan Athletic and Spanish side Real Zaragoza, though he never particularly caught the eye with either side.

Still only 21 years old, the Chilean formed part of his country’s victorious Copa America squad this summer, and could still have a big future in the game after showing some real potential.
