Arsenal to clinch second summer signing within days: Gunners will sell Spaniard following capture

Emirates Stadium side look set to welcome in talented wide-man.

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on a deal to sign Napoli left-back Faouzi Ghoulam according to the Metro.

The 24-year-old French born Algerian international has impressed in his debut season in Italy and a move to the Emirates Stadium could be completed in a matter of days.

Ghoulam’s potential arrival will apparently lead Arsene Wenger to accept Athletic Bilbao’s offer for Nacho Monreal, leaving Kieran Gibbs to fight the Serie A star for the starting spot in the Arsenal first team.

Napoli failed to secure a Champions League berth for the coming campaign and boss Rafa Benitez has left to take over from Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid, leaving a number of the San Paolo side’s top stars considering their futures in Naples.

Arsenal have already brought in one stellar summer signing, the north London side having successfully lured Petr Cech away from Chelsea, and a move for one or two more top talents could aid the club’s push for major honours in 2015/16.
