Former Emirates Stadium star linked with West Brom transfer.

West Brom have open talks with released Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby according to the Birmingham Mail.

The 29-year-old French international has endured a nightmare time of it in recent seasons with his Gunners career ravaged by a run of bad injuries.

Diaby moved to the Emirates Stadium in 2006 from Ligue 1 side Auxerre and initially impressed as a replacement for former hero Patrick Vieira but over the course of the past three or four years the rangy midfield battler has barely managed to string two games together.

After managing just 15 Premier League appearances in four years Diaby was released on expiry of his contract and is now looking for a new club.

The Birmingham Mail claim Baggies boss Tony Pulis is set to meet Abou Diaby in Paris to discuss a possible move to bring the player to the Hawthorns this summer.
