Video: Shortest appearance ever? Alessandro Matri lasts for ONLY FOUR SECONDS against Real Madrid!

Alessandro Matri enjoyed the kind of cameo appearance that he probably won’t be telling his grandchildren about, after featuring for a ridiculous four seconds against Real Madrid.

The forward’s side, AC Milan, met Rafael Benitez’s side in a friendly in the heat of Shanghai on Friday.

The two sides played out a fairly stagnant 0-0 draw, before Real ultimately secured the victory—winning 10-9 on penalties after misses from Carlos Bacca and Gianluigi Donnarumma.

However, the real story of the match—in our opinion at least—was Matri’s magical cameo.

The forward was brought on for Philippe Mexes, only for the referee to blow the final whistle moments later.

Check out the player’s brief, brief contribution below:

The 30-year-old hasn’t been a great success since swapping Juventus for AC Milan back in 2013 following a nomadic career in Italian football.

He has spent time on loan at Fiorentina, Genoa, and back at Juve, but failed to impress at the Old Lady last term, managing just five league outings and no goals after moving in February—he did at least scored the winning extra-time in the Coppa Italia Final victory over Lazio.

At least he seems to have taken his latest disappointment well…
