West Ham & Tottenham quoted £7m for Nigerian striker

According to Turkish football experts Turkish-Football.com, Fenerbahce are holding out for £7 million for West Ham United transfer target Emmanuel Emenike.

The Hammers have been linked with moves for several strikers during the ongoing transfer window, with the likes of Loic Remy and Saido Berahino linked with moves to Upton Park.

Nigerian frontman Emenike—who confirmed his retirement from the national side in 2015—has emerged as another potential solution for Slaven Bilic’s side, who recently lost Andy Carroll to injury.

The West African attacker was recently on loan at Dubai-based club Al Ain, but has recently returned to Istanbul.

While West Ham have held talks with Fener over the signing of the attacker—according to Turkish Football—the two sides have reached an impasse over the proposed transfer target, with the Super Lig giants understood to be holding out for £7 million, fee that might dissuade the East London outfit from taking the plunge.

Tottenham have also been linked with a move for the hitman, and may yet turn to the Super Eagles attacker to provide cover for Harry Kane during the second half of the campaign.
