DONE DEAL: Barcelona confirm that forward will be the first to leave the club this summer

Barcelona’s technical director Robert Fernandez has confirmed that young forward Sandro Ramirez will be leaving the Camp Nou this summer.

Speaking to Barca TV [as reported by AS], the club chief has confirmed that the Catalan giants opted against tying the forward down to a new deal.

Fernandez confirmed that 20-year-old Sandro would now be allowed to leave the club as a free agent., and thanked the youngster for sticking around for an extra season at the club having previously been allowed the chance to depart last term.

Amidst the club’s ban from registering players, the young forward was a talented commodity last summer, but he hasn’t truly managed to prove himself over the last 12 months, and with the club having passed the May 1 deadline to tie him down to a new deal, Sandro is off.

In light of the immense impact of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar, Sandro has struggled to make an impact in La Liga.

He’s managed just 10 appearances this term—of which four have been starts—contributing one assist but failing to find the net.
