West Ham plot move for £12M striker who has scored two goals in four appearances for the Argentina national team

West Ham could make a move for £12 million rated Atlético Mineiro striker Lucas Pratto in the January transfer window, according to The Sun.

Pratto has found the back of the net 41 times in 101 appearances for Brazilian side Atlético Mineiro since joining in the winter of 2015. He has also made four appearances for the Argentinian senior side, scoring two goals. All of those appearances have come since August, which is testament to how impressive his recent form has been.

The Sun believe that he has a contractual release clause which stands at £12 million. They note that if that fee is offered in the January window, Pratto would be free to leave the club and move to the Hammers.

West Ham are in dire need for reinforcements upfront. Simone Zaza’s loan move from Juventus has been nothing short of disastrous, and Andy Carroll is unable to stay injury free for any sustained period of time.

Could Pratto be the man to finally end Slaven Bilic’s striker woes?
