Inter Milan are preparing a move for Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman, report Calciomercato.
Strootman has proven himself to be an accomplished midfielder since moving to Serie A in the summer of 2013. His classy distribution from the base of the midfield and effective shielding of Roma’s back-line has seen him emerge as one of the best players in his position in Italy’s top tier.
However, his Roma career has been tainted by injury, and the Dutchman has made just 57 Serie A appearances in three-and-a-half seasons. Despite spending plenty of time on the treatment table, his quality remains, and it’s for that reason that he is reportedly being targeted by one of Roma’s Italian counterparts.
Calciomercato cite La Gazzetta dello Sport in reporting that Inter are preparing an audacious swoop to pinch Strootman from their competitive rivals. They believe that the Italian heavyweights are preparing a £37million offer to secure his services.
