Quina is an attacking midfielder with a superb footballing brain and a knack for scoring goals, attributes which led to him being called up for national duty with the Portuguese U19’s.

He has impressed at the Euros in Finland during his country’s run to the final and as Sky Sports reports, the former Blues man was being watched intently by representatives of La Liga giants Barcelona.

Sky Sports also states that German clubs Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen are monitoring Quina’s progress and that the Hammers will not entertain any bids of less than £600,000 for the player.

Barcelona has completed three signings already this summer, most recently bringing in Brazilian forward Malcom from Bordeaux for £36.5m, as per The Guardian, and if they can secure a deal for Quina they will certainly have a plethora of options going forward next year.

Malcom (21), Arthur (21) and Clement Lenglet (23) have all arrived at the Nou Camp this summer, as Ernesto Valverde is also seemingly building a squad capable of sustaining their success with a long-term vision in mind. In turn, Quina would certainly tick that box too if he secures a move to Barcelona.
