Neymar quarantined with friends in his £7m dream mansion

Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain star forward Neymar has been in quarantine in his dream £7m mansion in his native Brazil, according to a report in the Sun.

The Paris Saint-Germain star flew by his private jet to his homeland along with his friends and posted pictures of himself playing beach volleyball with his mates on social media.

His post on social media drew widespread criticism, but Neymar insisted that he was not breaking any social distancing rules with him and his mates all in quarantine together.

They are spending time with each other in quarantine in the Brazilian star’s sprawling mansion which is located 60 miles down the coast of Rio de Janeiro.

The game of beach volleyball, that appeared to be breaking quarantine rules, wasn’t on a beach but within the confines of Neymar’s estate itself.

The mansion itself is a dream home for anybody and is a modern-day luxurious marvel fit for a king.

The £7m expansive property is located in the resort of Mangaratiba down the coast of Rio where Neymar spent time nursing his foot injury before the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The villa is built on a two-and-a-half acre plot and lies within the gated estate called Portobello.

The estate has five-star amenities and has a helipad and jetty within its boundaries. The jetty is where Neymar docks his luxurious yacht – the Embraer Phenom 100E.

The villa also boasts a tennis court, a gym, swimming pool, sauna, massage room, spa and jacuzzi.

The estate also has an underground wine cellar that can hold up to 3000 bottles of wine.

Neymar’s neighbours are the footballer Emerson Sheik and Brazilian Emmy-nominated actress Adriana Esteves.

The mansion was described by a local as a ‘dream home’ when Neymar first bought it. The Brazil star then took to social media to post a picture of the purchase with him and his friends in the pool along with a caption that read: “In life people only need love and friends.”

The mansion itself is a prime property that costs £7m in total and is a short drive from the famous Angra Dos Reis, a much-frequented getaway for Rio residents.

Neymar was seen enjoying himself playing beach volleyball with his friends and despite criticism from various sections of social media, he is in fact in quarantine with his mates.

Speaking about the post, as quoted in the Sun, Neymar’s communication manager said:

“The photo in question was published on Neymar’s Instagram and shows him with other people who are in quarantine with him, people who live and travelled together from Paris to Brazil.

“Neymar offered his home to all of them so they could spend the first 14 days there before meeting up with their respective families.

“The house where the athlete is doing his quarantine is totally isolated and provides peace and serenity so he can continue training and looking after his loved ones at this time of world pain and confinement.

“There are no visits or business meetings at the house, above all because the residential estate it’s on only permits access to residents.

“The exception in terms of visitors has been his son, Davi Lucca, who came to the house to stay with his dad.

With all the social distancing norms imposed around the world, it’s not a bad way to be quarantined with your best mates.
