Newcastle United beat Fulham 1-0 at St. James’ Park on Sunday thanks to an 89th-minute winner from Alexander Isak.
The away side frustrated the Magpies throughout the match and had a chance of their own to break the deadlock but Mitrovic slipped and had a penalty disallowed.
That breathed new life into Newcastle and it resulted in Eddie Howe’s side scoring a very late winner and taking all three points.
Isak, who came on as a sub in the game, latched onto a Callum Wilson cross to head into an empty net.
