Arsenal coaching staff believe forgotten man could flourish in new position

Arsenal coaching staff reportedly feel that Emile Smit Rowe could have a future alongside Martin Odegaard in midfield.

The 22-year-old has struggled with injuries this season, missing much of the campaign so far, though he now looks to be edging his way back into contention in Mikel Arteta’s first-team.

Smith Rowe normally plays as an attacking player in the front three, but the Evening Standard claim that there are some members of Arteta’s coaching staff who believe he could also relish a new role deeper in midfield.

As long as Smith Rowe can put his fitness issues behind him, he surely has a very bright future at the Emirates Stadium, as he’s shown great potential in recent times when he’s managed to get a run of games together.

Emile Smith Rowe to move into midfield?

Arsenal fans will now hope this somewhat forgotten man can make an impressive comeback late on this season, as he looks to be coming back to full fitness at just the right time.

The Gunners remain five points clear at the top of the Premier League table despite several injury issues this season, most notably with main striker Gabriel Jesus, though Smith Rowe has undoubtedly also been missed.
