Liverpool manager update: 45-year-old high-flying manager tipped to replace Klopp

At the end of the season, Jurgen Klopp will leave his position as manager of Liverpool, and the team are now searching for a replacement.

Under Klopp, Liverpool have excelled throughout the years. Under the former Borussia Dortmund manager, they have won both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.

A number of managers have been linked with the Anfield job as Liverpool continue their search for a replacement.

Liverpool have their eyes on three managers

Among the frontrunners to take over is former Reds midfielder Xabi Alonso, who has enjoyed a successful season with Bayer Leverkusen.

Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi and Sporting’s Ruben Amorim have also been mentioned.

There is now support for a different candidate to succeed Klopp at Liverpool.

Mario Bilate, a striker with Kozakken Boys who has also played for ADO Den Haag, RKC Waalwijk, and Dundee United, believes Arne Slot would be a fantastic addition to the Reds.

Arne Slot to Liverpool?

Slot is now in charge of Feyenoord. The 45-year-old Dutch manager advanced to the UEFA Europa Conference League final in 2021–22 and won the Eredivisie in 2022–23

Bilate’s comments on Slot are cited by MSN and translated by SportWitness:

“He has achieved something and has really shown in Europe that he has his own philosophy.

“A step higher will not be a problem. It will mainly be a choice of which club he thinks suits him best. I think that’s Liverpool.”

Next Liverpool manager has a tough job

The Merseyside club needs a manager who can take over and start winning right away, not only in England but in Europe as well.

The expectations and demands at Liverpool are completely different to what they are at other clubs.

The supports at Anfield want success but they want it with their team playing a certain style of football, something that they consistently got under Klopp.

Klopp’s successor will have one of the toughest jobs in world football.
