Aston Villa, West Ham enter race to sign €30m-rated South American attacker

West Ham United and Aston Villa have been linked with a move for Valentin Carboni.

A report from Fichajes claims that they want to sign the Inter Milan attacker and he will cost them €30 million.

It is no secret that West Ham need to bring in attacking reinforcements and Carboni could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition.

The 19-year-old attacker is versatile enough to operate as the second striker as well as a right winger. He has a contract with Inter Milan until 2028 and therefore the Italian giants are under no pressure to sell him.

West Ham and Aston Villa will have to pay the asking price to sign him.

Michail Antonio is well past his peak and the Hammers need to bring in a quality attacker who can lead the line for them. Carboni would be a flexible option in the attack and he could operate anywhere across the front three.

Valentin Carboni would be a future investment

A move to the Premier League will be an exciting opportunity for him, especially if they are ready to offer him regular football. He is unlikely to start for Inter Milan regularly.

The attacker has two goals and four assists to his name in the Italian league this season.

Meanwhile, Aston Villa need more cover in the attack and Carboni could be an understudy to Ollie Watkins. His arrival will give Unai Emery more options to work with.

Both clubs are pushing for European qualification and they will need a deeper squad to do well across multiple competitions. The South American attacker could prove to be a solid long term investment and it remains to be seen where he ends up.

Both clubs have the financial resources to pay €30 million for him and he could even prove to be a bargain at that price.
