Marcus Rashford wants Man United stay amid exit rumours

Man United attacker Marcus Rashford is said to be refusing to be sold by the club this summer, according to The Sun.

This follows rumours that every player on Man United’s squad—aside from Kobbie Mainoo, Rasmus Hojlund, and Alejandro Garnacho—is for sale.

The team will undergo a major makeover before the upcoming season as part of Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s plan to bring them back to their previous level of success.

Rashford has endured a difficult season at Old Trafford having only scored 8 goals in all competitions.

The England international was on fire last season when he scored 30 goals in all competitions.

He guided the Red Devils to Carabao Cup triumph and a place in the top four of the Premier League.

However, this season has been a complete disaster for the Man United attacker.

The player was dropped from the team earlier this year after controversially missing training due to his partying habits.

The Red Devils are drawn to Rashford’s possible departure because, as a homegrown player, any money obtained through a transfer would be considered pure profit, which would help them manage the FFP limitations.

But the Manchester United star wants to extend his stay at his boyhood club and avoid a move away from Old Trafford this summer.

Rashford is a valuable asset for Man United

The player is valued at £80million which has attracted Man United to consider selling him.

Rashford is still a key player for the Red Devils as he has shown time and again how good he can be.

He needs backing and the right environment to shine and with a little bit of consistency, he can prove his critics wrong and become an even more valuable asset to the club.

Rashford will not be short of suitors if he is made available on the market, however, Man United need to show faith in him and keep him at the club.
