Crystal Palace could ‘move on’ from French star this summer

Crystal Palace could move on from French forward Odsonne Edouard according to transfer expert Graeme Bailey.

Currently sitting 14th in the Premier League table, Crystal Palace are set for a revamp of their squad in the summer window with players expected to arrive and depart the club.

The most obvious improvement to the Eagles squad is their attacking line, as they boast one of the worst goalscoring records in the Premier League so far this season, registering only 45 goals.

Their most potent attacking threat has come from Eberechi Eze and Michael Olise but due to unfortunate injury issues, they have missed a large chunk of the season.

Crystal Palace may look to sell Edouard

Now according to HITC journalist Bailey, he doesn’t see the French forward starting up front for the London club next season.

“I don’t think they see Odsonne Edouard as leading the line for them.” He told We Are Palace.

“I think he’s proved he’s not capable of doing that, so not a huge surprise to see them trying to move him on.”

Edouard arrived from Celtic in 2021 with very high expectations but has struggled to live up to that potential although he scored a respectable seven goals in 27 Premier League appearances this season.

The Eagles host Manchester United on Monday night before tough tests against Wolves and Aston Villa in their final games of the campaign.
