Juventus are reportedly considering Alisson Becker as part of a major squad rebuild, with the Liverpool goalkeeper potentially becoming one of the most attractive free-agent opportunities on the market next summer.

The Brazil international remains a key figure at Anfield, but his current contract is due to expire in June 2027.

Unless Liverpool agree fresh terms, Juventus could therefore attempt to secure one of Europe’s most experienced goalkeepers without paying a transfer fee.

Juventus include Alisson in list of free-agent targets

According to Tuttosport, Juventus officials Giovanni Carnevali, Ricky Massara and Marco Ottolini are already assessing potential opportunities for 2027.

Alisson is one of the most notable names under consideration.

The report claims Massara and Luciano Spalletti know the goalkeeper well from their time at Roma and that Juventus have previously explored the possibility of bringing him back to Serie A.

Tuttosport also suggests his wages would likely have to be reduced from his current Liverpool salary for any deal to become realistic.

At 34 by the end of this season, Alisson would represent a very different option to younger goalkeeping targets, but his experience and proven quality continue to make him an appealing candidate.

Liverpool leadership role for Alisson complicates Juventus hopes

Any Juventus move would still depend heavily on Liverpool’s plans.

Alisson remains an important part of the club’s leadership group and was named among Liverpool’s vice-captains for the 2026/27 season.

His position within the squad suggests the Reds still place considerable value on his influence as well as his performances. Liverpool confirmed his leadership role in August.

That makes the situation more complicated than simply waiting for his contract to expire.

From Juventus’ perspective, though, the attraction is clear. Signing a goalkeeper of Alisson’s experience without a transfer fee would free up funds for other areas of the squad during what is expected to be a sizeable rebuild.

Liverpool, meanwhile, also have Giorgi Mamardashvili and have continued investing in younger goalkeepers, meaning succession planning is already underway.

For now, Juventus’ interest appears exploratory rather than advanced. But unless Liverpool secure Alisson beyond 2027, speculation over a return to Italy is likely to grow.
