Hull City captain Robert Koren has admitted that he is unsure as to what the future may hold for him as he enters the final year of his contract at the club, Sky Sports reports.

The Slovenian international has been a regular at the KC Stadium for the past three years and has notched up over 100 appearances for the club. He was a key figure in guiding the side back to the Premier League last season and has helped them settle back into life in the top flight.

However, that hasn’t stopped him from admitting that this may very well be his final season with the club as no new deal has been put in place yet, though he admitted that he would not let uncertainty surrounding his future distract him from the long season ahead.

The 32-year-old told TV Slovenija: “It is true that this is my last season, my contract is running out.

“After that, everything is open. In football you never known what will happen in the future.

“For now I’m only thinking about Hull City. I feel great here, my family do also.”

Koren has featured in both of the club’s games so far this season.
