Zlatan really is a man of the people.
Back in October rumours that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was aboard a flight to Bosnia to visit a dying eight-year-old fan, Hajrudin Kamenjas.
The story quickly spread but it turned out not to be true, with so many international commitments it always seemed unlikely that the mercurial one would be able to make the journey.
However, Zlatan knew all about the boy, and told him so in a video message (translation below) and assured him that a signed shirt would be on its way to him.
English translation: “Hello Hajrudin, I am Zlatan. Since I heard of you, I thought a lot about you. I am sorry I can’t come, but I have a present for you. I have signed my autograph on a jersey and I want you to know that I think a lot about you. I will also give this jersey I wore yesterday when I scored two goals,” said Ibrahimovic.
