Adam Johnson has been one of the best players in the Premier League in 2014 and the winger continued his fine form with a goal and man of the match performance in Sunderland’s 3-0 derby win over Newcastle on Saturday.
The goal was his sixth in five matches and, with Theo Walcott injured, Johnson must be in with a shot of making Roy Hodgson’s England squad for next summer’s World Cup.
