Man United are to join a long list of clubs chasing Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan according to CalcioMercato.

The Old Trafford side could well do with fresh wide attacking options and David Moyes will fight Juventus and Galatasaray in pursuit of the 27 year old Turkish international.

Atletico Madrid opted to tie-down Turan to a new contract in January that saw the La Liga playmaker’s release clause rise from £20m to £33m a fee that Moyes may well still be ready to fork out.

Turan is into his third season at the Vicente Calderon and has been pivotal to the Spanish club’s rise to prominence, helping Diego Simeone’s side to Europa League and Copa del Rey titles as well as assisting Atletico Madrid in their genuine La Liga title push this term.

Moyes may well be considering the futures of under-performing wingers Nani, Ashley Young and Luis Antonio Valencia and could opt to make room for Turan this summer.

David Moyes is reportedly set to receive a massive transfer war-chest to invest in the improvement of his squad and as such has the funds to make a big money offer for Turan.
