Prior to the sacking of the Scot, it is believed that the likes of Danny Welbeck, Shinji Kagawa, Javier Hernandez, Rio Ferdinand, Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher and Ashley Young were all pondering their futures at the Theatre of Dreams, with most if bot all thought likely to leave had Moyes remained in charge of the Premier League champions next season.

However, all of the aforementioned players are now believed to be willing to remain with the Red Devils this summer in the hope that they will be handed a fresh start under the new United boss, although the identity of Moyes’s successor is also thought to play a key role in their final decisions.

Moyes was dismissed by United on Tuesday morning just ten months into a six-year contract with the club.
