Man United have set their sights on a trio of Dutch internationals as experienced manager Louis van Gaal prepares to take the reins at Old Trafford this summer.

CaughtOffside understands that van Gaal has discussed potential transfer targets with chief executive Ed Woodward and offers are set to be made for three players at the 62 year old Dutch national team coach’s request.

With Patrice Evra set to leave Man United when his contract expires at the end of the current season Man United are readying a £12m offer for adaptable Ajax man Daley Blind, who is effective both in left-back and defensive midfield roles and a player who is said to be keen on a fresh challenge having represented his Amsterdam side since the age of eight.

Son of former Ajax legend Danny Blind, Daley is an experienced performer with the potential be a steady and dependable addition to the Man United ranks and a marked improvement on fellow countryman Alexander Buttner, who is currently the back-up to Evra.

Man United are also set to re-ignite their interest in long term target Wesley Sneijder with the Premier League side set to table a £14m bid for the 29 year old, who could be set to leave Galatasaray this summer.

The Istanbul giants have surrendered their Super Lig title and are ready to listen to offers for the former Real Madrid and Inter Milan man.

Sneijder has had an excellent season in individual terms, scoring 14 goals in all competitions, and the chance to try his hand in the English top tier could well tempt the talented playmaker.

Man United are also readying a big money move for AS Roma midfielder Kevin Strootman, who is currently out with a knee injury that has ruled him out of the 2014 World Cup finals.

The 24 year old rangy midfielder was having a fine debut season in the Italian capital prior to his injury and though Man United missed out in the race to sign the former PSV Eindhoven man last summer they are ready to attempt another move to secure his services.

AS Roma paid £14m for Strootman last July and Man United are willing to offer the Stadio Olimpico side a massive profit with a bid of around £25m.

Man United will look to freshen up their midfield with the likes of Tom Cleverley, Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick, Shinij Kagawa and loaned out Brazilian Anderson all linked with summer exits, hence Van Gaal eyeing up two of his Dutch national team regulars to boost options in the centre of the park.
