New Manchester United head coach Louis van Gaal wants to sign the Feyenoord duo of holding midfielder Jordy Clasie  and defender Bruno Martins Indi for next season, according to reports in the Daily Express.

The experienced Netherlands international boss is set to officially take over at the Red Devils following this summer’s Fifa World Cup finals in Brazil.

However, the new man in charge at Old Trafford is already busy preparing for the new season in the north west and contrary to previous reports Van Gaal has no interest whatsoever in trying to lure either FC Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas or Bayern Munich midfielder Toni Krooss to the Theatre of Dreams this summer.

And that is because the 62-year-old is said to have already identified the Feyenoord pair of Clasie and Martins Indi for a summer switch to United, with the former set to take on the defensive midfield role at the club.

Clasie, 22, is contracted to Feyenoord until June 2016, while his team-mate who is also the same age can operate at either left back or as a centre back too, with both players Netherlands internationals as well.
