Check in to Belgium vs Algeria

Man United are ready to bring an abrupt end to Marouane Fellaini’s brief spell at Old Trafford as incoming boss Louis van Gaal make the Belgian available for prospective suitors according to The Times.

Former boss David Moyes forked out a massive £27.5m for the powerful Belgian international and then proceeded to use the 26 year old in an unfamiliar holding role which didn’t suit his game and now barely nine months into his Man United career he looks set to leave the club.

Moyes has used Fellaini effectively in a more attacking role, causing opposition defences all sorts of problems during his Everton pomp, so it was a little surprising that the former Toffees manager looked to re-shape his game, a move that certainly did not pay off.

Fellaini made just 12 Premier League starts last term, of which Man United lost four, and the 6ft 5in star failed to net a single goal or provide a single assist in that period.

Such is Man United’s keenness to offload Fellaini that chief executive Ed Woodward will look to tempt buyers by making the midfielder available for just £15m.
