Reports suggest that the Old Trafford side have launched a £27.7m for the Colombian international and that’s a sum that Barcelona are also ready to match, an offer that the Serie A side may struggle to ignore.

The 26 year old moved to Italy back in 2009 and after spells at Udinese and Lecce the talented wide-man has made a name for himself in Florence and his efforts last term led to a great deal of interest from prospective suitors.

Cuadrado netted 15 goals in all competitions and also put in a series of solid displays at the World Cup finals and is seemingly a player Louis van Gaal wants to welcome in to improve his wide-attacking options.

Arguably Nani, Luis Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young have all failed to deliver for the past couple of seasons whilst youngster Wilfried Zaha hasn’t been given the chance to prove himself since his move to the club from Crystal Palace.

Van Gaal appears to have money to invest in his squad and has already brought in Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw from Athletic Bilbao and Southampton respectively.
