Vidal was dropped by Allegri for Juve’s key battle with title rivals AS Roma last weekend after he was spotted at a nightclub with two of his cousins at 5.30am before subsequently arriving late for training the next morning just 72 hours before the Serie A clash.

Allegri said: “Against Roma he [Vidal] was on the bench because I needed, with the return of [Andrea] Pirlo, a more tactical player like [Claudio] Marchisio.

“Every now and then boys do stupid things.

“They need to understand what they cannot afford to do, especially nowadays with cell phones and photographers everywhere.”

That’s sound advice the 27 year old South American could well do with paying heed to.

Vidal has been a key performer over the course of his three completed seasons in Turin, during which time Juventus have won three successive Serie A titles, but clearly that doesn’t prevent him from bring punished for breaking club regulations.

Indeed Vidal was fined £80k for his actions and this may well lead Man United boss Louis van Gaal to believe he has a decent chance of persuading the Italian giants to sell the Chilean.
