United have more big-money signings in the pipeline.

Manchester United’s philosophy of spending big on world class names looks set to continue under Louis van Gaal, with the Times estimating that the club’s spending could reach the £350m mark in the space of two years.

The Red Devils have already spent £215m on eight players since last September, and it looks as though van Gaal has two more big-name targets in particular in mind to come in and bolster his squad even more.

Despite the additions of top class attacking players such as Angel Di Maria and Radamel Falcao in the summer, following on from last season’s big-money midfield buys Marouane Fellaini and Juan Mata, the team is still somewhat lacking defensively and even in the middle of the park, with these two marquee purchases possibly set to be made in the next couple of transfer windows to ammend that.

1) Kevin Strootman (AS Roma)

A world class playmaker, Kevin Strootman is known to be high on United’s agenda and looks to be one of their priority targets to come in and add some creativity to their midfield.
