Real Madrid have pledged to donate €1m to aid refugees in Spain in the midst of the humanitarian crisis in Europe at the moment, according to the Daily Mirror.

The Spanish giants are joining the likes of Bayern Munich and Celtic in making this big gesture, and they also plan to help out the Spanish government in providing supplies and other means of support for vulnerable people.

Aston Villa have become the first big-name English club to plan ‘Refugees welcome’ banners at their next home game, and one would hope other Premier League clubs will follow suit and also donate towards the cause.
