Atletico’s Maniche issues come-and-get-me plea to Inter Milan

There has been yet another twist in the Atletico Madrid-Maniche-Inter Milan saga. The 30-year old Portuguese midfielder has come out of the blocks and issued a virtual come-and-get-me plea to potential suitors Inter Milan.

Goal.com reports that Maniche is no longer interested in staying in Spanish capital and wants a new adventure. The Portuguese is not happy at the Caldron and is more just eager to move to Inter who have already exhibited their interest in the player.

This is what Maniche is quoted to have said:

I want Inter. In order to go to Milan I refused other possible destinations. I know that if everything goes well, I will play in one of the strongest teams in the world, but I’m ready to fight for the shirt and also for the European Championships. Even though I’ve been out since December, I have always trained with consistency and determination, therefore I don’t fear any new adventure.

It seems that the player is desperate to storm out of Atletico. But Inter have somehow gone cool on the prospect of signing the 30-year old former Chelsea player. Inter have a huge squad and are 7 points clear at the top of the table in the Italian Serie A and manager Roberto Mancini is actually looking to strengthen his team to win the Holy Grail of the UEFA Champions League this season.
