Striker Michu has reiterated his commitment to Swansea City despite being linked with a summer move away from the Liberty Stadium.

The Spanish forward has proven to be a Premier League revelation in his debut season in England, with the £2million paid by new Swansea City manager Michael Laudrup looking to be one of the best purchases this year.

Former Rayo Vallecano star Michu has scored 18 goals in 32 appearances in a Swansea shirt this season, helping the club reach a first domestic cup final – the Capital One Cup final in which they will face League Two Bradford City next Sunday.

Swansea have rewarded 26-year-old Michu, who is on the verge of a call-up to the Spanish national side, with a new improved contract but that has not stopped speculation about his future with a number of clubs considering bids for him.

One of those clubs is Atletico Madrid, who are searching for potential replacements for Colombian star Radamel Falcao and can offer Michu a return to La Liga which would boost his hopes of impressing Spain coach Vincente Del Bosque.

Falcao will leave Atletico in the summer with Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris-Saint Germain all leading vying for his signature.

Michu told Sportinglife: “I am happy at the club. If we win the League Cup final we will be in Europe, then I will be very happy. I’m not thinking about any other teams. I don’t know how long I will be at Swansea. I’m just enjoying it now.”
