Welsh club ready to part with up to £25 million.
Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has said that the newly-promoted club could spend up to £25 million this summer, according to BBC Sport.
The Welsh side are celebrating reaching the Premier League after a 0-0 draw with Charlton on Tuesday but them mathematically clear of 3rd placed Watford.
The Bluebirds now look set to be playing in the English top flight next season and Tan is reportedly keen to do everything he can to make sure they stay there for as long as possible.
“We need to strategise well and we’d like to spend some money – maybe 20 to 25 million,” said Tan.
“Others have spent a big amount of money and don’t do well, so we will try to spend smartly.”
Cardiff City will win the Championship outright if they beat Burnley this weekend.
The club can now look forward to their first ever all Welsh match up in the Premier League. Cardiff City have played against Swansea before in the lower divisions but never in a Premier League match up.
