Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has said that Leighton Baines will not leaving Everton to join David Moyes at Manchester United.

Goal.com reports that Kenwright and new manager Roberto Martinez are keen for the England international to stay at Goodison Park.

Baines has been linked with Manchester United many times before but speculation has increased since David Moyes became United’s new manager, replacing Sir Alex Ferguson who retired at the end of the season.

“Leighton is under contract, and I’ve told David not to come back for him,” the Everton chairman told reporters.

It remains to be seen whether Moyes will listen to Kenwright and could bid for the highly rated left back.

Manchester United are in the market for a left back with Moyes keen to add some competition for Frenchman Partice Evra.

Evra is getting older and many at Old Trafford believe that he will need replacing sooner or later.

Moyes is also reportedly interested in Everton midfielder Maurone Fellaini.

Fellaini is the subject of interest from many Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Arsenal.

Reports this week suggested that Arsenal had submitted a bid to Everton of £22 million, activating the Belgians release clause, meaning Everton have no option but to accept the bid.
