Committee Formed to Help Failed I-League clubs

After a meeting with several I-League clubs, the AIFF has decided to form a two person committee, with the aim of helping the clubs pass the mandatory ‘A’ Licensing criteria.

The Kolkata clubs( Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Mohammedan Sporting and United SC) met with the vice-president of the AIFF Subrata Dutta,

Kick Off India reports that If the clubs show progress and a willingness to improve themselves the AIFF said they would ask the AFC ( Asian Football Confederation and Governing Body of Asian football for a further extension.

As it stands the clubs have until the 14th of August to apply for a years extension, by the end of that year they must have passed all 45 aspects of the Licensing tests.
