Ljubo Milicevic Could Return to Newcastle Jets

Whether or not his next move is back to the Hunter Stadium, Ljubo Milicevic feels he has few more years left in the tank.

The former Jets man is currently playing state football with Melbourne Knights in the Victorian Premier League

The defender is in the process of leaving Melbourne with sides from the MLS and China all in the running for his signiture.

However Four Four Two Australia has learned there has been contacts between  Milicevic  and Gary Van Egmond’s Jets.

Bringing their defensive tower back to the Hunter stadium would be a move popular with  Jet’s fans, but nothing has yet been agreed.

Speaking to the Magazine  Milicevic reiterated he has recovered  from his stint in Croatia  and feels as fit as a fiddle: “It took me a while to recover, my body’s great now. My knees are great and it took about six months of a slow build-up of rehab but I feel great,

I’m playing every game, I’m backing up, there’s no residual soreness, or aches and pains. I feel as though I’m going to play for the next five years, at least.”

Jets face a trip to Sydney FC for thier first A-league outing of the season and could most certainly do with an experiance like Milicevic’s when dealing with Alessandro Del Piero.
